Well, last night I was going to demonstrate the problem to a friend and guess what? The SB worked normally. I had made no changes since I last tried it.
This evening I have just ripped another LP track to WAV via my USB Ripper using Audacity. The SB will play it back with no problems. However, now I can't get Foobar to play! At least this is the preferable way around. I don't know whether this is an intermittent fault with my SB or what. I'm going to uninstall ASIO and Foobar and see whether it recurs in the future.
