I believe the PX708 is a genuine Plextor drive, so if it's anything like my PX712, here's something else you could try: Use the PX708, and Plextools to do the ripping. Set the drive speed as low as it'll go, and switch OFF the Audio Error Detection.
(Background: From experience with my PX712, it seems that the drive has excellent error concealment capabilities, but they are only enabled when you're NOT requesting it to report C2 errors. Switching off Audio Error Detection seems to do this. I've never found any way to get EAC to use the Plextor drive in that mode. Perhaps in your case the PX708 will behave similarly). -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41920 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
