You should not need to rip CDs as single FLACs with cuesheets to achieve what you have described. You can listen to a random album mix (rather than track), or you could filter your random mix by genre. Determining the tracks and the sequence in a random mix should have nothing to do with single FLAC rips/cuesheets.
