Not sure exactly why it has to be so hard... But I guess I'll continue, for a while longer, doing my encoding on Windows. It was easy to update FLAC on Windows, I just grabbed the new binaries and installed them. Why does linux have to be harder?
Ubuntu has been a mixed bag...
