it' somewhat depending on wine version the newest one can run tag&rename.
I got Mp3tag to work somewhat better when i copied the gdiplus.dll file from my real win to the fake system32 folder in wine. I'm only been on Linux for 2 weeks, so I'm not brave enough to build from source, the version aviable trough synaptic is quite old.
