So many tagging opinions are doubtless formed by the type of music we like and how we access it. I would like to see some newer unified standards made from the id3 tags that standardize album artist, compilation and track date tags, but I'm not sure what the current schisms are or if anything is being done. Sadly I suspect it's pretty much driven by Apple and a couple of other companies at this point who are more interested in DRM and watermarks. I would like to see Squeezecenter not be concerned about album year when grouping albums. Unless there's something I'm missing the only instance where this would be useful would be of the same artist releases the same album name in different years. So for the other 99.999999999999% of artists that don't do this I wish they would just ignore this grouping and look at album/artist name, and call it an album. -- sander ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sander's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10737 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46472 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
