Using wav is a really really bad idea. Yes you are imagining the difference.
Use a transcoder in squeeze center if you want it that bad. Use any lossless format you want that supports tagging. Set compression the lowest if you want to waste as much space as possible like wav. Then setup the transcoder to convert to wav and it will use the most network bandwidth like wav because it will be wav. But it will be wav on your player. Using iTunes is another bad idea (unless you buy music from itunes store [which is another bad idea] or have an ipod). -- mswlogo XP > Cat5 > Transporter > SPDIF > Meridian G68 > DSP6000, DSP5500HC, DSP5000 XP > Cat5 > SB3 > SPDIF > Meridian DSP5000 XP > Cat5 > SB3 > SPDIF > Meridian G91 > DSP5000 'My Transporter Setup' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=350741&postcount=45) 'Hitch Hikers Guide to Meridian' (http://www.meridianunplugged.com) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mswlogo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9090 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55599 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
