>what if i want to teach friends how to tag? Demonstrate the use of a tagging app.
Don't use Mp3Tag if you want to teach friends how to view artwork that is not in tags, or you want to browse music collections with artwork that is not stored in tags. Photoshop Elements is quite good for image - use that. >what if i want mp3tag to get them their art? I don't think Mp3Tag can retrieve artwork from metadata sources, so use something else. Mp3Tag can add artwork that you select as embedded artwork. But if it is configured to show the first image in a folder, it is less obvious if there is embedded artwork. Showing the folder artwork doesn't make it any easier to add embedded artwork. So, what's the point? >what if i don't want them to have to "show hidden >files" on their system, since WMP hides the jpgs? > Then how would you select the folder.jpg to add as the embedded artwork? I drag-and-drop from Explorer into the cover art control, but you can also right-click and add cover, or do the equivalent from Extended Tags, either way, the file you select needs to be visible in Explorer. And it's not just folder.jpg - it says it will display the *first* image it finds in the folder, which could be any arbitrary image. eg. if you have "a.jpg", "back.jpg", "cover.jpg", "folder.jpg" and "front.jpg", which one do you think it would show? >cut me some slack and get a grip. Hey, just my opinion. Don't get all upset about it. _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
