but jim, aren't the MB tags moonbase was talking about TXXX tags?

i hope you are right.  i liked the idea of Phils i saw elsewhere of a
"two stage" scanner, where the first stage reads all and caches it to
one DB section, and then the second stage picks and chooses what to use
based on options in SC.

but then i also understood what erland said about SC trying to manage
where it took the performance hit, meaning at scan time vs post
scanner.
