Yeah, MC does pretty good, but you probably will have to fill some gaps. I usually try Google Images for those before dragging out the cover to scan. One thing to watch out for. A lot of times in checking for covers with MC, often it finds a cover where someone has applied a cheesy bevel effect that I hate. They are always 500x500 if I recall, and if you're not careful you might select one of these bevel ones... so just be sure to mouse over the one you pick for the larger preview.
