I recently stumbled across a page in the foobar2000 wiki on the Hydrogen Audio web site (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Encouraged_Tag_Standards#ALBUM_ARTIST), that is encouraging tagging standards.
"ALBUM ARTIST [e.g., Various Artists, The Foobar Collective] (none) Notes: Field name is ALBUM ARTIST, with no underscore. Tag should exist if and only if an album is by multiple artists, and be contained in every track. Track-specific artists should be entered in the ARTIST tag, never in the TITLE tag." For several years, I've been using "ALBUMARTIST" tag, as this is what the SC scanner looks for. The hydrogen Audio wiki is trying to define a recommended standard; perhaps SC should adopt it too. So, I'm wondering if you think an enhancement should be raised for SqueezeCenter to also support "ALBUM ARTIST" (in addition to ALBUMARTIST). At the moment, I'm adding both "ALBUMARTIST" and "ALBUM ARTIST" tags, to satisfy both SqueezeCenter and Foobar.
