I to am a big fan of a single tagging system as Moonbase suggested. But I also keep two separate libraries, one for FLAC and one for 320Kbps MP3s. FLAC for my Squeezebox Players and Transporter and MP3 for my iPhone. >From your post further down I see you have loads of tunes in SC now. I keep one thing in the back of my mind when I have problems with songs or tags showing up, first check the tags, then run a Clear & ReScan. That has always fixed all but one problem I caused myself when I installed a new drive and changed the drive letter by mistake. SC found all my music on the second scan but that hosed all my playlists and I had some huge ones.
