Thanks for answering ! Great news with Wavpack. The point with this
format is you can have simultaneously you music compressed both lossy
AND lossless : one small file lossy, plus (schematically) a bigger file
containing differences between lossy and lossless. Perfect for hearing
your music in the best conditions on your high end system at home, and
hearing it on your small computer speakers when travelling. It's just a
pity that this format is not supported by portable multimedia players (I
do not know the proper word in english, sorry) or car audio system...

If you know some other devices that can play Wavpack, please let me
know. I follow the link you gave and found here
(http://www.wavpack.com/#Hardware) that an alternative firmware exists
for some devices. With an FM transmitter (like ones shipped with
certains GPS/PND) I could achieve my goal : promising...
