Sorry, unsure about WavPacks ability to handle "gapless". I -think- they can, but I -know- FLAC works great with SC.
Especially with (most of) the SqueezeBoxen being capable to natively handle FLAC in the hardware player, I wouldnt want to have my server waste (if few) resources transcoding WavPack to FLAC. Tagging: I prefer FLAC, it uses the -Vorbis Comment- standard as tags, so you can introduce almost anything you want, plus multiple tags of same name (i.e., multiple composers, genres, etc.). -APEv2-, which WavPack prefers, is also quite free-format, but maybe not that widespread.
