I need to play with that. I haven't used the Composer tag yet because of the sorting issue, there being no composersort. As you say, it probably doesn't matter. It is just my obsessive compulsive nature wanting the consistency.
Does the composer tag display on the squeezebox controller screen? I have even thought of dropping all of my artistsorts, and moving to a lastname, firstname format for my music. It seems to me that would work with all of the different tags and types of music since sort wouldn't be needed - and it would work well on portable players that are out there also. No need to mess with additional tags when transcoding from flac to mp3 for portable use. Just curious - do most people use artistsort, or are a lot of you using a lastname, firstname structure? How are your libraries set up?
