Ok, so I've looked through numerous threads discussing the COMPILATION tag and the ALBUMARTIST tag and how to manipulate them to do what you want, but I can't seem to get it to work, the subtle difference may be that it I'm trying this with a single mp3 and a cue file.
Basically I have an entire album ripped to a single mp3 and an accompanying cue file. It is a DJ mix of various tracks by various artists. I have ALBUMARTIST set to the DJ's name, but when I browse by artist, the album is listed under Various Artists. I've tried changing the compilation settings in SC and the way things get listed change accordingly, so I can tell SC is getting the info from the cue file. The one thing I can't get it to do is list the album by ALBUMARTIST. On a possibly related note, I have tried adding the COMPILATION tag to the mp3 file via mp3tag, but regardless of it's value, SC ALWAYS lists it as a compilation. I'm using SC 7.3.3 I'm wondering if info pulled from a cue file (ie multiple artists) overrides tags in the mp3 file like ALBUMARTIST. Also, I have the top level performer in the cue file set to the DJ while each tack performer is the actual track artist. -- yorknh ------------------------------------------------------------------------ yorknh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31587 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=65459 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
