Perhaps it is because I never bothered to try using the multi-disc technique as outlined in the wiki referenced by the op but I've always found that when the disc number tag field is used I get multiple entries for the given collection within the Squeezebox server music library. Nonetheless I DO NOT the "Browse Music folder" method to select my music (other then when I'm adding a new item to the music library) but rather I use either browse by artist or album or I use Lazy Search.
