I use the tag to auto-generate playlists. I have one of Dylan covers, where the Artist is not Dylan but the composer is. Similarly, I often listen to a Costello list of EC singing songs he didn't write. By shifting my tags around, I'd lose this. Although my Squeezebox would work properly.
