Did you also upgrade your server ? this has more to do with the server itself than any particular player ?
What server version ? Check with mp3tag to see if you have multiple tag formats in the files i3v1 and id3v2 at the same time if so use mp3tag to make it id3v2 only for example if mp3 files flac should not have id3v tags( they are flac or vorbiscomments).
