Blinking 'eck there's an unexpected can of worms that I've opened. I now have a choice - do I put the lid firmly back on the can of worms entitled tagging, or do I jump in feet first ...
In my case I maintain a "reference" FLAC library to feed SBS, and worry about tagging there. After a preiod of ripping to FLAC and the using dBPoweramp to convert to AAC I now rip each album seperately to iTunes (for my iphone) - inefficient, I know, inconsistent tagging and all that - but mentally easier - so interoperability of tags is not a huge worry. However, I am confused by the performance of this compilation = 0 tag - without it my album with ALBUM=Supernatural TITLE=Corazon Espinado ARTIST=Carlos Santana ARTIST=ManĂ¡ ALBUMARTIST=Carlos Santana ALBUMARTISTSORT=Santana, Carlos lists in SBS as various artists, with it as "Santana, Carlos" - my intended behaviour. So I think I'll stick with this for the time being - but are their unintnended consequences? -- JonWill Main system: SB Touch, Arcam A85, Mission 733i speakers SB Classic into old JVC microsystem (next thing on list to upgrade!)
