Hi, I know this topic has been risen many times, but there is something I don't catch yet (I am brand new to play DTS music on my squeezeboxes)
I have followed this guide : http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19260&highlight=convert+dts First of all I have squeezebox touch and another classic Squeezebox.. the thing is I don't know which version.. I bought it one year before Logitech took over and SqueezeServer refers it as "classical", how can I know which version it is ? Server is Running on readynas ultra 6 (see Status below) I have source files in ".dts".. I have installed python and convert it with spdifconvert.py to WAV file.. and then use Flac.exe to convert it to FLAC as mentioned in the guide. When I play it on the Squeezebox touch (connected with spdif coax to my yamaha AZ-2). I can hear only shit... When I try to hear on the other squeezebox, connected through optical drive to yamaha DSP-3090 (only AC3, I know it wouldn't be able to decode) but the squeezbox looses the connection with the SqueezeServer directly when trying to play.. I have to power on/off the squeezebox. The guide is dated from 2005.. is there anything today easier to do ? Because I have read that the FLAC able to be read on the SB are not the ones coded in 5.1 I have to say as well I am lost about which bitrate is recognized 24/196 ? I have downloaded the trial version of Thank you to enlighten me yves ------------------------------------------------------------- Squeezebox Server Status Version: 7.6.0 - r32854 @ Mon Jul 25 10:13:12 PDT 2011 Operating system: Netgear RAIDiator - EN - utf8 Platform Architecture: i686-linux Perl Version: 5.8.8 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.32_02 (sqlite 3.7.5) Total Players Recognized: 2 Bureau Player Model: Squeezebox Classic Firmware: 137 Player IP Address: 192.168.9.55 Player MAC Address: 00:04:20:07:75:23 Wireless Signal Strength: 78% Salon Player Model: Squeezebox Touch Firmware: 7.6.0-r9458 Player IP Address: 192.168.9.69 Player MAC Address: 00:04:20:22:1e:f3 Wireless Signal Strength: 65% -- ygi ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ygi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38324 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89517 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
