not sure about the covers, but for the other questions: 1. files are actually stored in the vortexbox/files/music folder. The other folder "vortexbox/music" is a read only mirror used by vortexbox. See this info: http://vortexbox.org/documentation/how-do-i-delete-and-modify-music-files-on-my-vortexbox/ 2. I believe vortexbox is creating LAME VBR mp3 files. This is good. But keep in mind that even when you want the highest quality mp3 files, the way vbr works is that it gives a bit of music only the bit rate it "needs" (i.e., the variable in VBR). Google mp3 vbr to learn more about how this works. But again, vbr is a good thing! -- garym ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89523
