The VortexBox mp3 mirror code is based on Robin Bowes' flac2mp3.pl script.
It is smart enough to not re-encode FLAC to mp3 if all that is needed is a change to the tags or the cover art in an mp3 file. So if you want embedded cover art in your mirrored mp3 files, you can let the current mirror complete, then: 1. Go to the FLAC Mirror page in the VB GUI. 2. Check the "Enable embedded mp3 cover art" box. 3. Click Submit. 4. Click "Start mp3 mirroring". The mirror code will rescan your FLAC collection, and will update cover art in those mirrored mp3 files that have missing or incorrect cover art, without re-encoding the FLAC to mp3.
