Get Mp3tag if you don't already have it. Learn to use Tag Sources.
Learn to create actions and action groups, which you'll use them a lot.
Also learn how to use filtering.

You may want to first reorganize your library if it's not already in an
ARTIST/ALBUM/TRACK directory structure. This makes is simple to tag an
album using Mp3tag, or to tag all of an artist's albums. For example,
say you want to add an ARTISTSORT tag to all of Johnny Cash's albums.
You can easily load all of the tracks from the artist's albums.

Placing all of your compilation albums in one folder can be handy.
There can are some peculiarities with compilation tagging, so being
able to load all of the compilations and retag them all at once is
convenient. So something like:

Complations/ALBUM/TRACK

Mp3tag itself can be used to move files around and reorganize your
library. You do this by rewriting the _FILENAME variable. You'll need
some minimal amount of (correct) tagging to do this - artist and album
names should do it.

Some people load their entire library into Mp3tag and then use Mp3tag's
filtering capabilities. I don't find this to be that useful, and it can
take minutes to load a large library. Then again, I've never had to tag
an entire library.
