If you've access to Linux or Mac you could automate the tagging process for your entire library using musicbrainz or discogs (or both) as a tag source and then review the proposed tags/ changes at a field, track or album level before committing. Would save you a whole lot of effort compared to album by album tagging.
As far as tagging standards go you'd do well to heed JJZolx's advice. -- audiomuze *'Linux finally gets a great audio tagger' (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/linux-finally-gets-a-great-audio-tagger.html): 'puddletag' (http://puddletag.sourceforge.net/)* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91167 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list ripping@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
