That's true. I don't really know much of how the DB is setup (although
I wish I did). Those items you discuss would be useful, especially the
disc title (I assume that ReplayGain is still held on a per track
basis). Right now, I just count on a comment Tag to hold the disc title
and M3U files to allow me access to those discs by title (not really
tags but works for me).

For myself, I am conflicted on how I should setup ReplayGain on
multidisc albums. For instance, The Wall is an album that one could
argue should be played sequentially and acts as a continuous unit.
Should their be a different Album Gain for each disc or should the
Album Gain be based on the complete album? I don't think there is a
right or wrong answer, or the right answer is probably really dependent
on the mastering. Most of the time, I find the album gains for each
disc are close enough that they probably don't matter.

To digress further: Does the server software care that album gains are
consistent? For instance, I've put together a few personal
compilations from individual tracks I've gathered over the years and
have given them generic album titles to hold them together (I prefer
albums and album artist browsing, so I try to group those odd tracks
together). However, in those compilations, I actually set the album
gain tag equal to the track gain tag. My assumption is that when I
play the album this essentially plays the album with track gain since
the album gain is the same. But, I suppose it is possible that the
server picks up one (the first) album gain tag much like it seems to
pick up one image when looking at the album covers.
