[... replay gain settings continued from previous post] For each of you AC3/DTS albums you now need to set the new tags so that replay gain in your player will not change the bitstream:
Album and track gain = 0, track peak = 1. [image: http://i.imgur.com/6gYHC.png] Now you can turn replay gain on (I like to use Smart Gain) in your player(s) and the AC3/DTS tracks will get decoded! The only issue is that the loudness levels in the AC3/DTS files are typically higher than the 89dB that replay gain levels normal stereo tracks to. So your surround tracks will sound louder than stereo tracks. But at least I can have replay gain enabled and leave it that way. Since most of my listening and music collection is still stereo, I prefer to have RG enabled, and can live with the occasional louder surround tracks. -- Henry66 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Henry66's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38863 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19260 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
