An easy way to test whether some other software is actually modifying
the tags is to "fix" a problem track and then set it to read-only
(chmod 444 foo.flac). Then go about business as usual. If it becomes
"unfixed", then either there's a tag somewhere that you're not seeing
or there is something else going on in your setup that exposes a bug in
the way LMS presents the metadata.
