Fix was temporary. I selected a few songs and 3 reverted to file name on the display. I am choosing songs primarily with "Browse Folders" but I don't see how this could have an impact. The songs in question were not identified in the previous search by file name so this is happening as I select songs. I going to try disabling Spicefly SugarCube
