Thanks - found the RG info on extended data. BUT What I want to do is as follows;
1) Read metadata for a track / album to tell me if and what RG is already applied. MP3Tag and Tag can both do this. 2) Be able to run an RG programme to tracks that don't have RG applied. I've only found the ability to add RG when ripping from scratch, not retrospectively. 3) And/or edit the RG settings for individual tracks. For example I might want to vary the reference level slightly for some (e.g. change 89db to 87db). 4) Reset RG settings to suit a changed reference level - either by re-running a calculation, or knowing the change I could simply edit in. For instance using TAG I can see a track with a ref level 0f 89, RG of 1.44db and a peak value of 0.845763. If I changed the 89 to 87 would I need to edit the 1.44, 0.845763 or would the player software (Squeezecentre) recalculate to suit the new ref. level automatically. I doubt the latter as I'm assuming the player will just read the instruction to add 1.44db. Ideally all in one programme ! -- liffy99 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ liffy99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7832 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93653 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
