If you're using, primarily MP3 or AAC files on the Mac, there's a GREAT
APP called iVolume that will look at the iTunes embedded gain, if there
is any, and change it.  I'm sorry there isn't anything for a Mac dealing
with FLAC files.

I use this for ALL AAC and MP3 files having it keep all tracks within
an album together... especially since a 'mastering engineer' has
already matched the 'performance level' from tune-to-tune.  Once the
gain header is changed, you then set the Server to look at TRACK GAIN,
since each track within an album would match, but would also look at
track gain for compilations individually.  It works for me...
