Good point, my memory may be on the blink but I believe I read somewhere that [square brackets] at the very least are ignored. I'll have a dig around and see if I can find where I saw that. Regarding the Pink Floyd box set mentioned earlier I had a similar dilemma myself with the same set. In the end I realised it was pointless keeping both and just removed the original rips from my library. I know some remasters are frowned upon by purists but I can't hear anything wrong with the discovery ones personally.
