ok, thanks - I hadn't realised that.

I had read (somewhere) that the only way to correctly preserve gaps, and
also e.g have seamless track changing, was to have a single FLAC per
album. I take it that this is incorrect?

I use XLD (on Mac) for ripping, which I think gives the impression that
single-FLAC is better. Or rather, that's the impression I got. Is XLD
"suitable"?


The separate CUE file thing is more just for convenience; e.g. easier to
edit than VORBIS comments embedded in the FLAC.
