LMS uses the CPAN module Audio::Scan to extract data from files -

If you look for CUESHEET_BLOCK you will find that it says:

The CUESHEET_BLOCK tag is an array containing each line of the cue sheet.

This suggests to me that all lines are returned Ok (or should be as it
is simple text) but that it is the proceedure inside LMS that writes to
the database that is mishandling your top line PERFORMER data.
