So is this saying that i could select which output ports are being used through Rivendell but not have the ability to select which inputs?
say i have the Axia IQ in the studio for the live bits and I'm running recorded shows on the Rivendell machine, what would I require to have Rivendell automatically switch to and back from the studio automatically? ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Tue, 25 Oct 2011 18:58:16 -0400 From: Fred Gleason <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [RDD] Axia Switcher To: User discussion about the Rivendell Radio Automation System <[email protected]> Cc: Axia24/7 Techs <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii On Oct 25, 2011, at 17:48 20, Fred Gleason wrote: > Rivendell should be able to control the specifically 'Livewire' part of the iQ --i.e. the twelve input and four output "gateway" connections (discussed on pp 61-62 of the iQ manual), although this has not (yet) been actually tested. Such control utilizes the LiveWire Routing Protocol, which (as per Axia spec) should be present on all Livewire-enabled devices. Got some clarification from the folks at Axia about this. The way this will work is that the four output "gateway" connections (as well as any other external "node" type devices) can be controlled via RML. However, the actual input assignments on the console fader channels cannot be, because they are not full "Livewire" channels in the sense that output channels on a node are. (These channels can, however, access up to twelve external Livewire streams via the "gateway" functionality). Making sense?
