ALSA, AudioScience HPI and Jack are supported by debian/ubuntu packages.
The "RIVENDELL CONFIGURATION SUMMARY" provided by configure during build

The Rivendell2 packages don't change any existing configuration. Basic
rd.conf/asound.conf are created *only if* no file is found. We removed
most of debconf support because it was difficult to maintain and useless
for most of (advanced) users.

Good question. We didn't build gpio packages for a long time (see gpio
packages in http://debian.tryphon.eu). But we could/should/would make it.

The Tryphon stable repository is dedicated to stable "squeezy" debian
distribution. Use only the repository of your distribution.

Thanks to our build server who needs 7 "CPU" hours to build the 14
distributions :)
