hi,

.mp3 (among other very useful patches such as a edit button in the voice 
tracker or a play button in rdlibrary) was supported in a patched version 
(almost a fork) with version 1.x. Sadly these patches / fork are / is no longer 
developed / maintained. The last version is still available as ready-to-use 
repositories for Ubuntu 10.x.
