There's probably a much simpler way of this, but I'd just load another log with the ID cart scheduled at whatever time you need it in the aux deck. Unfortunately I don't know of a way to 'pause' the main log though - that might take some working around like passing it through another sound device or Jack or something and using a script to mute the pass-through etc... or an external audio switcher controlled by RD.
I'm curious too as to another way of doing this.
