I think this may have sopose to have been sent to the list so I'm forwarding it back there from Tim's comments sent to me twice privately. Replying to individual users of the list by default is a real pain in the rear.

Greetings, I'm dictating here so I hope this comes out alright actually there are several ways you can accomplish this I do agree the best way is to split as mentioned before . If you absolutely have to do it having an ID fire either from a panel button or a auxiliary log is probably the way to go, if you have a macro fire the ID on a button you could also have the same macro duck the audio on the program cart. Another way would be to premix the program with the id already in it and reimport it. Then schedule the legal ID in between, otherwise you're just going to have a train wreck. ----- Original Message ----- From: Gavin Stephens To: Rivendell Users Group Sent: Monday, September 09, 2013 12:07 PM Subject: Re: [RDD] Can I put a Voice-Over track over a playing Cart? There's probably a much simpler way of this, but I'd just load another log with the ID cart scheduled at whatever time you need it in the aux deck. Unfortunately I don't know of a way to 'pause' the main log though - that might take some working around like passing it through another sound device or Jack or something and using a script to mute the pass-through etc... or an external audio switcher controlled by RD. I'm curious too as to another way of doing this. Hi Guys, Another small question. I have a long cart, roughly 1hr. I want to be able to put a ID voice over through the cart (required by our Radio Specs) to announce the station. Can this be done, and the question how? Regards Kevin. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
