Easiest way is to use the mysql client from the command line:
mysql -u root -p < backup.sql
I can't remember the RRABuntu database password. Obviously change
backup.sql to whatever your backup file is called e.g.
mysql -u root -p < /home/rduser/backup-11032014.sql
You'll then have to go into rdadmin and create a new host based on the
old one if the machine name has changed.

I'm currently running a Rivendell system for my HD2 station.
Unfortunately the hardware is getting "iffy" so I'm building a new
machine (currently from the RRbuntu disk) and I'm not sure how to move
the carts to the new system.
I have copied var/snd from the old machine and I have a database
backup but I can't figure out how to import them to the new machine.
I have used RDImport before (moving from Scott to Riv.) but I don't
get how to do an import of the Rivendell carts into a Rivendell system.
Any tips on what my command Line should look like? (which wild cards
do I use?) or is there another procedure I should use?
Thanks!
