Hi,

Default is flat wav but you can change it to MPEG2 which is roughly twice the size of MP3s with comparable quality. There are settings in the edit hosts section under rdadmin for ripping CDs and importing (also check rdairplay, rdlibrary etc).

I think the global setting is in the services somewhere but don't quote me on that as I don't have riv in front of me at the moment.
