Hi, you need a text-file with the freedesktop .desktop-format:
http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/desktop-entry-spec/ Instead reading the spec you could copy an existing one: e.g /usr/share/applications/gedit.desktop or /usr/share/applications/rdairplay.desktop copy it to ~/Desktop and edit it as you wish. If you only use english, there is obviously no need for all the other languages. The file must be executable, that gnome & co doesn't freak out ;) Hope that helps Schöne Grüße Keywan Am Samstag, den 25.10.2014, 13:33 -0400 schrieb Chuck Niday: > I'm not having trouble seeing shortcuts/launchers, I'm trying to > create new shortcuts/launchers. But you can use the command line as well: > > gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons > true > > > _______________________________________________ > Rivendell-dev mailing list > [email protected] > http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev -- Redakteur Hertz 87.9 Hertz 87.9 - CampusRadio für Bielefeld www.radiohertz.de _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
