I believe I recall reading here a while ago that Rivendell now supports
"drag and drop". One of my client has suddenly taken an interest in this
feature. I've been playing with rdairplay and found that I can drag items
from the SoundPanel to the section on the left, but I can't drag anything
from the log, nor from the list that appears when I press the Add button.
Is this configurable? I don't see anything obvious in rdadmin relating to
it.
The context in which this question arises is that my client just hired a
programming consultant who wants to replace Rivendell with a product from
a company called Playlist Software Solutions he claims is more
user-friendly. This company is Brazilian, and as far as I can see offers
no U.S. support. While I can get Rivendell to do pretty much anything they
need done, I'm not confident that this other system can do everything
Rivendell can do, and suspect it would end up costing my client more in
dollars and man-hours than it will save in operator convenience.
