After the liveCD boots: Bring up a terminal. Check if caed is running: ps ax | grep caed Kill riv stuff: sudo killall caed sudo killall ripcd sudo killall rdcatchd Check if caed is running: ps ax | grep caed
If there is no caed running, try playing something: aplay /var/snd/999999_001.wav If not: aplay -l Try another sound device.
