Hey Rob, We've had zero problems with the VX222-HR on various Linux distros installing
the standard alsa-lib <ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/lib/alsa-lib-1.1.6.tar.bz2>, alsa-firmware <ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/firmware/alsa-firmware-1.0.29.tar.bz2>, and alsa-tools <ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/tools/> packages from the alsa project <https://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Download>. Haven't even checked with the manufacturer for Linux drivers. The Alsa drivers have worked out of the box for me every time. How long ago did you try Digigram cards? I wonder if your experience was limited to a specific card or specific distro or combination of the 2? The only real limitation for us, is in terms of i/o which isn't a problem now, but later we'll probably need a more expensive card with more channels. You can hear it on the air HERE <http://subliminalradio.net/popup-player/>.
