Great! As a mentor of the project I can give a hand if none of the
normal committers have spare cycles to walk you through the issues.
I'm no Jini/River expert but I'm pretty good at reading and applying
patches.

The best approach would probably be for you to file Jira issues for
each of the changes you need to make. I or some other committer can
apply the changes to svn.

It would also be good if someone would go through the open issues in
Jira and decide which ones of them should be fixed before AR2.
Currently we have 16 open issues scheduled for AR2.
