Development of Rivet 4 is expected to be long running
The initial commit has already diverged from master in several ways
but I'd like to keep open the possibility to integrate commits from
master or 3.1. I guess this implies that commits have to be pointlike
so that we can cherry pick single deltas. I saw George pushing several
small commits at one time. I guess this is the style we should adopt
for future development.

Dear Massimo,
While I am in favour of short commits, some of the commits I made were
really short, because it was a "trial and error" game with AppVeyor.
Unfortunately, there is no other way than committing a new configuration
file, wait, and see what happens.
(I expect the same to happen when we integrate also with travis...)
We need also a "wish" list, probably in the tcl wiki. My first wish
would have been the rivet library location to be configurable through
the configuration file...
(I want to ease the process of creating pre-compiled binaries... :D)
Best,
George
