No, rkhunter doesn't use any MTA software it just uses the 'mail'
command.

Is it possible that the address 'admin@*******.co.uk' is being
redirected to somewhere else? Probably in the '/etc/aliases' file.
If you send a test message to that exact address, from the system you
are running rkhunter on and using the root account, does it arrive at
the correct mailbox?
