I see, I wasn't aware of that. Yet, considering our package won't be *in* 
ubuntu 8.04, only *for* ubuntu 8.04, I don't think we need to feel obliged to 
support a parallel installation. That's just my 2 cents, though. Just do what 
you think is best.
