hi all, just to let you know i am not sleeping on the job, build 26 is *almost* ready. there were three bugs remaining and i just fixed one a couple of hours ago. so build 26 will go out as soon as i fix the other two bugs. fyi, build 26 has lots of cool new things: XFree86 4.0.2 - faster, more stable video upgrade to netscape 4.76 [more stable] and realplayer 8 [more robust] dynamic hardware recognition [now "My Linux System" does something!] removed the extra diamond at the end of each print job we now have a system registry database we have an update tool that will allow you to update your system over the internet [no more waiting for new builds and reloading your system from scratch!] and lots of miscellaneous stuff. hopefully tomorrow. ??? also... henri poole, ceo of mandrakesoft, gave an interview a week or two ago. in it he said: "Gael [linux mandrake founder] simply wanted to make a version of Linux his brother could use," says Poole, already well versed in the company legend. "He said, 'How can I make this easier for my brother?' Well, I'll put a windowing system on it.
